How right you are! As an author I've frequently had to meet deadlines to complete book commissions. I recently posted a blog on the subject of writers' block and quoted the old adage: 'I write when I'm inspired. And I make sure I'm inspired at 9 o'clock each morning.'
The other one I like is a misquote (original was Eddison, I think): Writing is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Thanks Cathy.

You're right, Cathy, about fear being a major reason for writer's block. Another big factor is that people are stressed out and very busy. To write, you need to make time and space--not just setting aside an hour to write, but coming to it refreshed and invigorated, rather than depleted.
When I help people in writing their books and getting published, I encourage them to schedule in something rejuvenating right before the writing--a walk in nature, time to dance or listen to music, or even meditation.
When they do a refreshing activity beforehand, writer's block often disappears.
