There were things I hadn't even thought about, such as having paper plates so we would not dirty dishes. (Fortunately, we had a stash of paper plates in the pantry, left over from some event.) I found that I wasn't ready, wasn't prepared. Gratefully, I was more inconvenienced than anything else. I was lucky, very very lucky. But I did realize what I need to do for next time: prepare.
