@WordsmithBob – Great ideas! Google Alerts have all kinds of uses. I keep increasing the number of alerts I get.

Your idea of a “wrap up” post is good. Of course, for anyone thinking of using this, make sure the client is OK with any information you include about them.

Great idea using Google Alerts and newsletters for blog post ideas. I also have Google Alerts set to my keyword phrases. That way when someone blogs on a keyword subject for either my website or my blog, I can immediately follow the link to their post and comment.

I also recommend that whenever you solve a problem for a customer or client or finish a project or make a sale, do a “wrap-up” blog post giving a summary. It gives visitors some great ideas and paints you as a problems solver and go-getter!
