On Saturdays, after a hectic week of being at the workplace, I like to find something new and interesting (and relaxing) to read or learn about online. Today, it's YOU!

I've been a perinatal educator for over a quarter of a century and I've discovered that about 90% of my students (mostly Lamaze couples) are "visual" learners. And I believe that's true of most people.

Enjoyed and appreciated this post on choosing photos for blog posts. I think it's time to get busy and start including more photos on my blog. Thanks!

Yes, I sometimes spend waaayy too much time looking for images. They make a difference, though. It took me a while to grasp that, but now I am a true believer. ;o)

I have used a couple of the plugins with Irfanview, but mostly I use it to resize or reformat photos. It is so fast and easy--can't be beat!

Since I also value illustrations with blog posts, I especially appreciated your earlier on on sources of stock photos. I often find that writing the content is easier than finding the right image!

I second your recommendation of IrfanView. For heavy work I use Photoshop, but IrfanView is the app I turn to for the simple quick fix. When you download it, go for the plug-ins too, then spend a few minutes exploring the menus to find the adjustment tools and other goodies. You'll get as much out as you put in.

Thanks for all your good information!
