Unfortunately most people don’t realize how bad it could get if the House doesn’t pass the $700B bill ASAP. The credit markets continue to tighten up, and it gets worse every day.

Just because the situation hasn’t effected most Americans yet, doesn’t mean it won’t because it will.

I don’t believe people realize how important “credit” is to the economy. Or understand what is happening since the Press calls this a Wall Street Bailout. It is not a Wall Street Bailout. It is an attempt at lubricating the economy so it doesn’t fall off the cliff.

I am optimistic they will pass the bill, and in 6+ months later the economy will turn around.

Thank you for the comments. I know that there are lots of people out here who are not freaking out about the economy, but you wouldn’t know that from the news reports.

Keep up the optimism–the economy is stronger than many believe.

I agree with you! Loved your comment about fueling up our SUV’s to go to the food pantry. It seems to me that people think they always have to have MORE, when we should be content and count our blessings! Thanks for standing up to the doomsayers.
